real or not real?

Real. I'm an addict. Like a trap. Trapped.

Now I've been quiet. Again. I'm spending my days working at my summer job, watch movies, listen to THG-audiobook (in English) and rest. Not much more to do when it's rainy and cold and you're about to catch a cold. But I think an idea for a manuscript is taking form. I shall take a day to write these tiny ideas and let them grow as soon as I can. Welcome the process.

resist consist

Sometimes I think about life. Philosophize about the human being. Why we are as we are. What we do and why we do it. Whoever we are meant to be. The meaning of life. Tonight I cogitate the fact that we're actually not always allowed to be who we are. Irrespective of color, high or low confidence, sex, disposition, interests, work, age, class, bag man, famous, fat, thin, shy, pushing.. There's always any kind of expectations on us. We can't just do something because we want to. Even if that's mostly something we aim for in life. To be ourselves. What I don't understand is that it seems that some people can do whatever they want, write whatever they want, say whatever they want - to anyone they want. And then seem to think that others may not bother or react. At all. For them it's okey to stamp on others as long as no one stamps on them, as long as no one treats them in same shitty way as they treat others. That's low and I dare to think it's a bad qualification. I've experienced it and others with me. In different levels. Can anyone answer why this happens? How these people are thinking? Do they think they're actually better than the other of us or are they just so into themselves? What in the whole wide world can accept such behaviour? I think mankind should be more fair, no matter what. Not that I'm better than anyone else, probably not at all, but sometimes you just can't get people and their manners. I prefer the oddness in fair love. To be fair and to be fair with love. When life itself isn't mankind really should. So I wonder.

another soundtrack

No wonder why I thought of the music when I saw Snow White & the Huntsman. It's James Newton Howards work. Beautiful!

snow white and the huntsman

Tonight I've visit the movie theater again. Or to be exact, it was yesterday. Since I've reached the limits for the goldmembership in SF's cinemaclub I haven't used any of my points there. Because of that I got this movie for free. The second movie for free in one week (Prometheus was the other one). How hilarious isn't that? Anyway. Now it was time for Snow White & the Huntsman (10/6). In many ways this film appeared as I expected. We all know the fairy tale about the evil queen, the mirror and the beautiful Snow White. In Snow White & the Huntsman we gets most of these typical marks for this fairy, from dwarfs to poisoned apples. But in a new point of view. I like the way this stays the classical story. I also like the new perspective which (among other things) are formed through the visual effects. In many ways I even love this, despite some really annoying details. Charlize Theron is absolutely fantastic (just as I guessed) and Chris Hemsworth made a safe impression, even though he looks a bit insane in his fights. I feel safe by his steady Austrailan accent. Probably it helps that I also likes his personality off screen. And I like the castle, the dwarfs, the bird-thing, the splinter-soldiers. the dark forest, the fairy forest, the troll, the queen, the huntsman, the balance between the funny and dark. The beautiness. So, what do I not like? Kristen Stewart. Can that girl act at all? Can she avoid looking druged and angry? Open her eyes and truly smile? Change the face just once? Express herself? I hate shallowness but isn't Snow White suppose to be more beautiful than the evil queen? Theron looks just fabulous. The mirror-mirror-who-is-the-fairest-of-them-all-thing looses its credibility by this. I'm so sorry Kristen but I don't believe in you. I wish I could. Some others in the cast also disappointed me a bit. But that's to overcome. What makes me most sad is that fantasy movies like this one always seems to lack out of something to get extraordinary. Complications. Some things missing. Almost always. It's to bad because I really love fairy tales, adventures and fantasy. Now. That's all I'm gonna say. By the way. Anyone else who notes the huge influence of Hayao Miyazakis Princess Mononoke through the deer? JJJJ

A movie which makes you cry.
Lately I've become more sensitive and cries more offten while I watch movies. Especially when I'm alone watching. Tangled is an exemple, when all the Chinese lanterns lights up and floats to the sky. They're so many and she's so missed. That's love.

A movie which you know it's bad but truly loves.
Burlesque. Crossroads.

Best soundtrack?
The soundtrack of a movie is SO important. And the fact that I'm sold for it doesn't makes it less important. To choose one specific is hard. But I'm gonna say the soundtrack of Gladiator. And Inception. And Water for Elephants. And The Hunger Games. And Inglourious Basterds. And Sherlock Holmes. And Amelie. And Edward Scissorhands. And True Grit. And How to train your dragon. And, ehum, I can probably go on for ever.

Favorite quote in a favorite movie?
"And now we are Free. I will see you again.. but not yet.. Not yet!" (Juba, Gladiator)

the hunger games nerd

I've just finished the first book in the Hunger Games-triology. For the third time. In just two months. I must admit I'm a little embarrassed about this. Feels as if I should be fourteen or so if so. But I've become a real geek regarding this story. For the moment I'm actually a bit obsessed. Maybe that says a lot of my extraordinary life. However, nerding can be quite nice. And I think I like it. And. Why should anyone else actually bother? It's fascinating!

prometheus

This Wednesday (6/6) I went to the movie theater again. This time to see Prometheus. In 3D. But I'm sorry to say it wasn't that good. Well, to begin with it seemed to be. The landscape pretty much overwhelmed me and the production overall was nicely well-made. But all this slime, all this creepy slimy creatures and some things looking like bombs and melt iron (or anything like that) with disgusting creatures in itself. I guess that's just not my cup of tea. To be honest, I haven't seen any of the earlier Alien-movies. But after this I don't think I'm gonna see any other either. To bad because I think this could have been so good with some other prospects and less slimy growing aliens in stomachs. I really likes this idea with the searching, from where we are. In the universe. But slimyness. Just pointless, just so empty and meaningless. And. Why do extraterrestrial beings always seems to be evil? Is that some kind of conspired universal agreement? I dare to wonder. I like the cast a bit though. Noomi Rapace. Many Swedes in Hollywood now it appears. Like that! And I must admit I still like Ridley Scott. Even though I'm skeptical. JJJ

By the way. I've finally seen The Artist and Hugo Cabret. The Oscars-films. Of any strange reason both of them went short time in the theaters. But now, I've seen them. And I like them. I don't really get the hype though. I mean, The Artist. It's lovely, indeed. But the best film ever? Haven't those people seen silent movies before? I felt like I've seen it before.

movie awards

Just saw the reprise of MTV Movie Awards 2012. I love those movie awards. And. The Black Keys and Johnny Depp played togehter. And they rocked. Just the fact of that makes this awesome. But as we know, movies and music makes one! And I just smile, enjoying it all. Yes!
